Thanksgiving Break this week! Also the last week of my internship, finally! Next semester I can actually have a class I enjoy, which is Biochemistry But now I don't get to go home early ;_; Oh well, with good things come sacrifices. Hopefully this week me and can finally start our Hetalia flash project

1. How long have you been drawing, and what inspired you to do so?

I've been drawing ever since I could write, which was around 2..? Or something like that. I would watch cartoons a lot and I would draw the cartoon characters all the time. I also drew lots of Pokemon and even made up lots of my own Fakemon.

2. When you first began drawing, what was your style and subject matter?

I started drawing in a more cartoony style since I liked drawing Sponegebob, Fairly Odd Parents, and Danny Phantom. I didn't have nor know how to work Photoshop so I drew with pens and markers mostly.

3. Did anything in particular drastically change your art style from then to now?

Oh yeah, when one of my friends in middle school started drawing anime/manga, I knew I had to draw it too, so I researched all these different styles of art and eventually created my own style.

4. How did you learn how to draw?

Naturally. But when I first started drawing, I would look at references and then I gradually began to know how to draw my own poses and junk

5. What embarrasses you the most about your old artwork?

OH GOD. Well, my porportions suck like a vaccuum cleaner. They were so tall and had small pencil necks. My people had no shoulders or really small ones XD and their hands were so small and deformed. Also, my noses were horizontal lines so it looks so weird. When I first started drawing anime I thought the highlights were the pupil so my highlights are drawn all over the place.

7. What makes your old artwork endearing?

It makes me really nostalgic and it shows that there is ALWAYS room for improvement, no matter how good you think you are.

8. How would you describe your art style now?

Anime/manga style all the way. I have this style that's not the chibi anime but not realistic anime... says my style makes everyone look the same age because everyone has the same face and body structure. Not true! I do emphasize different characteristics for certain people, especially eyes. Eyes are the window to the soul.

9. Is it mostly fanart or original artwork now?

Pshh, if you watch me, you know its fanart. Hetalia and Pokemon fanart XD But sometimes I like draiwng characters from my webcomic (which still isn't up yet) or just doodle myself doing stupid things.

10. What's your favorite medium/program to work with?

Any version of Photoshop, preferably 7.0 and up because that's what I first learned how to use when I was 10. I also use paint if I feel like doing some pixel art

11. How do you usually sign your artwork? Do you use watermarks?

Yeah, I started doing it on Deviantart because I am seriously afraid of art theives. I usually watermark pictures in a corner with "NightComet©[insertyearhere]"

12. How often does a sketch become a completed piece of art?

Depends. I sketch out a lot of doodles but if I find one really nice I scan it and make it look pwnsome.

13. How often do you complete a piece of artwork?

During the school year maybe one every 2 weeks but during the summer it might skyrocket to 5-6 every week ^_^

14. How long does it take to complete a piece of art?

Depends if it's just a cell shaded chibi or a detailed pic with a BG

15. How much of your total art output in the last year has been (a)for class

I don't have art class...

16. How do you deal with art thieves, if you've ever had one?

I usually ask politely for the user to take it down or I will report them. All the ones I've had so far have complied.

17. How much do you see your art style/ability changing in the next five to ten years?

Definitely drastic changes will probably occur. I've changes my style so much and sometimes I just create a whole new style in a year!

18. What is your favorite deviation?

All of them ^^
